Handaan

Booking Terms

The agreement between the customer and the vendor for each booking made on Handaan. You accept these when you send a booking request.

Effective 2026-11-04

1. The parties

Each booking is an agreement between the customer and the vendor named on the booking. Handaan provides the platform, keeps records and helps resolve problems, but is not a party to this agreement.

2. When the booking is confirmed

The request is an offer. The booking is confirmed when the vendor accepts it and the app shows it as confirmed. The booking page records what was agreed: items or services, quantity, dates, address, price, delivery or travel fee, deposit and balance due dates.

3. Paying the vendor

The customer pays the deposit (30% of the total) within 48 hours of confirmation, and the balance 3 days before the event, directly to the vendor's account shown in the app. Bookings less than 3 days before the event are paid in full. The customer uploads the receipt; the vendor confirms receipt honestly and promptly. If the deposit isn't paid in time, the booking may be cancelled and the dates released.

4. Delivery and service

The vendor delivers, sets up or performs as described in the listing and booking, at the agreed date, time and place. The customer gives safe access to the venue and a contact person on the day. Changes must be agreed in the booking chat.

5. Rentals: care, return and security deposit

Rented items remain the vendor's property. The customer takes reasonable care of them and makes them available for pickup at the agreed time. If the listing has a security deposit, the vendor returns it within 48 hours after confirming the items came back in good order. Damage claims must be made within 48 hours with photos, and are limited to repair or replacement cost.

6. If the customer cancels

More than 14 days before the event: full refund of what was paid. 7–14 days: the vendor keeps half the deposit. Less than 7 days: the vendor keeps the deposit and refunds the rest. Less than 48 hours: no refund. Refunds are sent by the vendor to the account the customer paid from within 3 days.

7. If the vendor cancels

The vendor refunds everything the customer paid within 3 days, and receives a strike on Handaan.

8. Events beyond anyone's control

If a typhoon, government order or similar event makes the booking impossible, both sides will first try to move it to a new date within 6 months. If that isn't possible, the vendor refunds what was paid, less documented costs already spent that the customer agreed to in writing.

9. Problems

Either side can use “Report a problem” up to 48 hours after the items are returned or the service is done. Handaan reviews the records and may decide a full, partial or no refund. Both sides agree to cooperate with the review. This does not affect rights under Philippine law.

10. Law

These Booking Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
